Types of Dentures Available at Denture Clinic in Brampton

Before you approach come to us, take a look at the different types of dentures available and then choose the one that will suit you.

Traditional
These replace your teeth and sits on top of the gums, unlike dental bridges that are anchored to existing teeth. These are placed after 8 to 12 weeks after the teeth have been extracted.
Partial
This is for when some of your teeth are left undamaged. These dentures have a pink-coloured base that is attached to a metal piece which holds the dental appliance made of acrylic material. It is convenient as its detachable. You can take them off whenever you need to.
Custom
These are made of more expensive natural teeth that provide a beautiful smile. Furthermore, it’s made based on an individual’s needs and can be seen before it’s finished and fitted into the mouth.
Immediate
These are placed on the same day when your teeth are extracted. This is a special case though and depends on the patient’s requirements.
Implant
A dental implant supports the denture and provides more support to the dental appliance ensuring a bright smile.
Upper Denture
This is for missing teeth in the upper jaw.
Snap-in
This is applicable when a patient is left with no teeth but the bone is strong enough to support the implant. It is secured with dental implants with a locator embedded within the tissue side of the denture. Similar to partial dentures, these are also removable.
Overdentures
These sit on top of the gums and are held in place with dental implants. It can be placed on the lower or upper jaw depending on the patient’s requirements.
Economy
These are generic, cost-effective dentures and doesn’t fit securely and needs dental adhesive for its placement.
