We build (dental) bridges to beautify your smile

If you have any missing teeth, your dentist in Brampton may close or bridge the gaps with dental bridges. This kind of bridge is an artificial tooth known as a pontic that is held in place by the abutment or anchoring teeth on either side of the missing tooth. Although fake teeth may be made from expensive materials like gold or silver, they are usually made from porcelain to blend well with the original teeth. Here are the top benefits of having dental bridges offered by our leading dentistry clinic in Brampton. Let’s get started. Dental bridges help restore your beautiful smile and prevent you from feeling self-conscious about your smile.  They not only improve your look but also the way you bite, speak and chew. If maintained properly and if there is no unexpected damage, a dental bridge can last for several years. The teeth may be matched to the colour of your natural teeth. With this dental bridge, your original teeth are safeguarded from regular wear & tear and sudden moving and tilting. This tilting may cause teeth to bite incorrectly and ultimately lead to further decay or damage.

Dental Bridges Procedure:

Here are the steps followed by our dental clinic in Brampton to install a traditional dental bridge:

First, the dentist uses local anaesthesia in your gum near the area of your new bridge.

They prepare your supporting teeth through shaping. This is done to make space for a dental crown to be kept over them.

Then the dentist will use a soft mouldable material to get an impression of the teeth and make a bridge. Meanwhile, a temporary bridge or crown made of plastic is fitted.

During the final visit, the dentist removes the temporary bridge or crown and fits the new permanent bridge. Take note that it may take some time for your new dental bridge to adjust to your new modified bite. That is why a little bit of discomfort such as inflammation is common after this procedure. Visit your dentist if discomfort continues or gets to a concerning stage.
